What is Messy Church?

Messy Church is our Sunday afternoon service for children aged 3+ and their parents / grandparents or carers. It is held at Thurnham Infants School or Holy Cross, usually once a term. There are lots of crafts, songs and food and we are entertained by the fabulous Holy Cross Puppets. It is a great opportunity to meet up with old friends and make new ones.

What is Messy Church like?

We start with lots of arts and craft activities at different tables around the hall, families can enjoy being creative together and there is always someone from the Messy church team to help. It is a time to relax, chat and have some messy fun together. Next we have a short service with a bible story, songs and entertainment by our talented puppeteers. Then it’s time for refreshments where we can all sit down together around a table to enjoy sandwiches, crisps, fruit, cakes and a drink. It is a great time to make new friends and find out everyone’s news.

Who is Messy Church for?

Messy Church is for everyone - young and old alike. It is suitable for children aged 3 upwards; younger siblings are welcome. If you are a child, you will need to bring an adult!
